Joey Logano – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Pocono Race Report

official%20pocono%20logoJoey Logano and the Team Penske No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion team qualified seventh in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session for the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway. Logano has now qualified eighth or better in nine races this season.

As Sunday’s race began, Logano settled into seventh place and focused on trying to move forward. He was able to race his way up to sixth, but the Shell-Pennzoil Ford began to develop a tight-handling condition and Logano slipped back to seventh in the running order. Continue reading

Joey Logano – NASCAR Nationwide Series Dover Preview

buckleup200Joey Logano will make just his third NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start of the season this weekend driving the No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang in the Buckle Up 200 at Dover International Speedway’s one-mile track.

Logano last raced in the No. 22 Mustang at Darlington, where he finished fifth. He also finished fourth at Auto Club Speedway earlier this season. Logano will drive in four of the next five NNS races, including Dover, Michigan, Kentucky and Daytona. Continue reading

11_SFP250_CJoey Logano made a late-race rally to score a third-place finish in Friday night’s SFP 250 NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Driving the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 19 Reese Towpower Ford F-150, Logano was running second when he made a scheduled green flag pit stop on lap 122. Five laps later the ninth caution of the race waved for a two-truck incident in Turn 2. The end result was that Logano, despite having a strong running truck (he would lead the race three times for 41 laps) found himself a lap down. Continue reading

Joey Logano qualified the No. 22 Team Penske Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion in the 16th position for Sunday’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega. It marked the first time this season that Logano and the No. 22 team did not make it to the final session in knockout qualifying.

“We put a lot of work and effort into making it through the week to keep that streak alive today,” said Logano. “It’s unfortunate. We worked the plan perfectly the first session and got up there. Joey Logano started Friday’s VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway from 15th spot in the No. 22 Snap-on Ford Mustang after experiencing a tire problem in qualifying earlier in the afternoon.
