Waterford Speedbowl returned to the track for another round of Wild ‘n Wacky motorsports competition. Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott claimed his fourth Wednesday night INEX Legend Cars victory of the year to lead the way. New winners on the season were Ray Reed of Norwich, winner of the Super X-Car race, and Ken Morin Jr. of Old Saybrook in the INEX Bandoleros. Jordan Hadley of Quaker Hill took another X-Car checkered flag, and Chris Lee of Uncasville won the night’s Wacky Race. Continue reading

Wild ‘n Wacky racing returned to the Speedbowl on Wednesday evening with fast paced motorsports action entertaining the crowd on hand. Those taking victories included Mike Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, winning for the third time in four races on Wednesdays in the INEX Legend Cars division with a come-from-behind effort. Jon Porter of Canterbury checkered the Super X-Car division, Jordan Hadley of Quaker Hill won in the X-Cars, and Jonathon Puleo of Branford won in the INEX Bandolero youth racing class. Picking up victories included Joey Ternullo of Middletown in the INEX Legend Cars with Colchester’s Anthony Marvin winning the night’s INEX Bandolero feature. In two great races, John Bowes of Willington and Mike Maskell of Quaker Hill won the respective X-Car and Super X-Car feature events. Wild ‘n Wacky racing returned to the race track Wednesday evening at Waterford Speedbowl with five event winners taking honors on the night. A first-time victor emerged in the Super X-Car division as Dave Yardley of Berlin won his first-ever race at the Speedbowl. Preston’s Wayne Shifflett won the night’s X-Car feature and in INEX racing, Angelo Belsito of Auburn, MA and Jonathon Puleo of Branford won the respective Legend Car and Bandolero division feature races. Picking up wins included Newington’s Giovanni Giarratana in the INEX Legend Cars, Ray Reed of Norwich won his first ever race in Super X-Car action and Zach Thomas of New London was awarded the X-Car victory. Sharing the honors in twin INEX Bandolero division races were Ken Morin Jr. of Old Saybrook and Corey Comeroski of Lebanon. The night’s Wacky Race was won by Christopher Lee of Uncasville. Picking up victories on the night of motorsports included Nick Ladyga of Voluntown in the INEX Legend Cars, his first of the season in the Wednesday series. Jon Porter of Canterbury won another Super X-Car race, while Willmantic’s Mitch Bombard won the X-Car feature. Ken Morin Jr. of Old Saybrook won a thrilling INEX Bandolero race that went down to the wire and the Wacky Hot Dog eating race went to Peter Pollard of Old Lyme. Dave Garbo Jr. of Stonington returned to the Speedbowl and picked up his second win of the season in INEX Legend Cars racing, while Ken Morin Jr. of Old Saybrook and Christian Eckes of Middletown, NY shared honors in twin INEX Bandolero features. John Yagmin of Tolland rallied late in the Super X-Car feature to score the win and Brad Voglesong of Middletown won the X-Car feature. The Wacky Race win went to Waterford’s Chris Thomas.
